The charity was established on the 15th of September 1995. It constituted 91 individual funds and was managed ad ad-hoc by the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust’s Finance department.
My WiSH Charity is a local NHS Charity. They are not here to replace the NHS but to enhance the wonderful care you, your family, friends, and loved ones receive at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.
My WiSH Charity enhances the care patients at the West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust receive. This comprises; West Suffolk Hospital, Newmarket Community Hospital, and community services in health centres and patient's homes across Suffolk. They fundraise for all hospital wards, departments, and services. They support everything from emergencies to the elderly, bones to babies, and cataracts to cancer care. You donate to the area closest to your heart.
The unique way they operate their charitable trust means that you, the community can tell us which area of the hospital you would like your fundraising to go towards – and they can guarantee that your donation goes to that individual ward, piece of equipment, or in memory of a loved one.
