This is probably our hardest interview to date
We invite into the studio our wives Lynnie and Wendy to discuss how they have dealt with our illness.
From the onset of a heart attack, Wendy describes how she took charge and got Patrick to the hospital herself rather than waiting for the emergency services. She describes how she felt then, how she feels today, and how she deals with Patrick's heart disease every day. How Heart Disease has affected the relationship, the changes that had to be made, and ongoing care.
The dreaded day Lynnie together with Martin received the news that he had been diagnosed with Stage four Lung Cancer. Lynnie describes her feelings at that news, and how she deals with the ongoing treatment and monitoring of Martins's condition. She expresses how angry she feels with the world and why it has happened to them, how they missed any signs of Stages 1,2 and 3, and how she feels out of control.
Both Women speak openly and honestly and with no holds barred, expressing in some cases for the first time the effect on them and the worry they carry on a daily basis, knowing there is no escape.
Please listen to this Podcast and appreciate how difficult it was to get our wives on the Podcast and to open up to both of us in this most unusual way.
There is a chance to hear "Martin's Joke of the Week" with a bonus at the end.
